In March, we traveled to Cape Town South Africa with the Brisbane Academy
(Charlotte NC) 2023 Study Tour Group.
We partnered with Brisbane to support INJONGO PRIMARY SCHOOL with donations of school supplies, personal hygiene items, uniforms, classroom materials for the teachers and staff, and food for school lunch.
Their school motto is the same as
Gloria's alma mater (WSSU!)

Over the years, we have accomplished many important milestones in our mission to support young people in need. In 2023 this includes expanding our services to South Africa for school kids and the adults who support them, increasing accessibility to critical educational resources.

Injongo Primary School is located in Khayelitsha. This area of Western Cape Town is home to ~ 2.4 M people. It is known as a "shanty town"- most of the inhabitants do not have indoor plumbing or running water. The school is a public primary school that won a national choir competition in 2022.
